Hope!

Hope can mean trust, reliance; desire accompanied with expectation of what is desired or belief that it is attainable; one on whom hopes are centered; a source of hopeful expectation, or promise; something that is hoped for, or an object of hope. The Hebrew root verb qa·wahʹ, from which come terms rendered “hope,” basically means “wait for” with eager expectation. (Ge 49:18) In the Christian Greek Scriptures, the sense of the Greek term el·pisʹ (hope) is “expectation of good.”

No Real Hope Without God.

– Insight on the Scriptures found online at jw.org in many languages.

“No real hope without (Jehovah) God.”… Ponder that thought for a moment.

Do we trust in our bank account, our homes, our families, … is our Hope in those things too. Or do we honestly Hope in the solutions that God has promised mankind thru the pages of the bible. And God’s worldwide organization today.

Jehovah brought the nation of Isreal out of bondage to slavery thru his organization and he used Moses, a very humble man, to lead them thru the wilderness… To the land he had promised.

Jehovah has brought us out of slavery to sin and death thru his son’s sacrifice and will repair the earth and the hearts and minds of men thru his government with his Son ruling as king, today!

Our Hope is founded on reality. Faith in his Promises is Hope!

Read and study Gods words! They contain the key to HOPE, life and true happiness!

Loyalty – Hope – and letting go!

Sounds like a contradiction but in my quest to deeply comprehend godly loyalty I have discovered a truth  about myself that I was not ready for.

Hope is good!

Loyalty is good!

Letting go of things, forgiving on the inside is good.

But when we have a misplaced hope or a distorted view of loyalty. Those truths can stand in our way of Godly loyalty.  And Loyaty To Jehovah God is where life, hope and joy live.

2 Samuel 22:26 – With someone loyal you act in loyalty;..

Jehovah knows when to let go of hope. He knows when to show mercy and when to walk away. This summer there will be a 3 day convention held in multiple languages across the globe.

Remain Loyal To Jehovah

Find a convention Location near you and plan to attend you will not regret it! This I know.

I personally look forward to readjusting my core beliefs on loyalty since they were formed and  sustained by very unloyal people and others that had misplaced loyalties. This will be a journey of growth for me. But one I will embrace deeply.

Loyal Love

Exodus 34:6, “…Jehovah, Jehovah, a God merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and abundant in loyal love and truth,”

Hosea 6:6 6 “For in loyal love I delight, not in sacrifice,And in the knowledge of God, rather than in whole burnt offerings.”

Servications – serving where there is a need even if only for a short trip.

I have recently been on a trip that has changed who I am on the inside. It is hard to explain but I have been on great vacations, nice trips to the mountains, Caribbean cruises and beaches, but a trip to play compared to a trip to serve. They do not compare!

I was only there for two weeks and meet brothers and sister that will forever be a part of my life. Some I may not see again. But I tell you, their zeal for service and love for people needing to hear the truth in gods words, there trust in Jehovah’s loving care for them as they serve full time spend there resources to advance kingdom interests – inspiring is not a good enough word.

I now have direction, a purpose beyond myself. That is greater then me but that connects me to a richness in Jehovah’s organization I have never seen nor ever known was there.

Take your family and serve in a foreign county even if only for a few weeks over the summer make this your goal. Go where there is a need in Jehovah’s organization, don’t stay stuck because you are comfortable. Reach to Jehovah extend yourself to his work and the flood gates will open in ways you can’t even imagine. Happiness now you can’t even begin to comprehend until you try!

I will be taking my daughter this summer to Quito to help in the Haitian Kreyol field there. And I hope it changes her life too! For the better!

The Kings of Judah

I have recently been reading the books of the Kings, and Chronicles in the bible and I have to tell you. There are so many lessons on those small pages for us.

When a king followed the laws they prospered and were blessed, the entire nation was. When they displayed arrogant, selfish, and disobedience. They suffered.

It is no different today! Even though we are not kings nor do we have the “law” of Moses, the principles within that law and the teaching Jesus clarified for us today. Are easy to live by. When you clearly see the blessings of doing so.

I encourage everyone to take the time to read these books and learn what you can about the god behind the nation of Israel during the rule of these kings. They ultimately lost gods favor because of violent disregard for Jehovah’s laws. Are we aware of what Jehovah asks of us today? And are we walking like Abraham with Jehovah.

Patience

Oxford defines it this way – Patience = 1 the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset:

Jehovah says it is a fruitage of his spirit. – Galatians 5:22 -23 “On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,  mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law.”

Hebrews 6:12 “so that you may not become sluggish, but be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.”

Col. 1:11, “and may you be strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may endure fully with patience and joy,

How can patience that single quality help us?

Being patient means you know not everything changes in a day, it gives you the time to breathe and make decisions with wisdom rather then hastily trying to fix something.

It reminds me of skilled chess players, although they have to move within an allotted time, they look several steps ahead at the consequences in a single move, it might not be seen with in two moves but perhaps ten.

Patience allows us the time to rely on Jehovah’s wisdom, and not our own.

Why hurry, we have forever and a day!

Hannah part 2

I have learned something from this fine women in the past several months.

When she approached Jehovah in prayer she was deeply misunderstood by the spiritual leader of her day, the high priest. But her knowledge of Jehovah’s was so Real. She did not get stumbled by the human errors of others, she allowed her prayers to be heard by Jehovah knowing in her heart that he and perhaps only he, knew what challenges she truly faced.

We might be misunderstood, even ridiculed harshly for things misunderstood, but we must as women find peace in our hearts with Jehovah! He is the God of the widows and the orphans! Ps. 68:5, James 1:27. He sees the coins of small value as greater then mountains of gold! He sees the many wine bottles of our tears he has stored in his memory as he looks upon us.

He does not look at us!
He sees US! Our inner hearts,
What we truly are and desire to become for him.

Getting back to Hannah, she gives her son to Jehovah at 5 years old, think about that for a moment, today our society would call that “abandonment”. But she did not give him to some stranger, she offered him to Jehovah. When we train our children to seek full time service to Jehovah and not the “things” of this world. We can be accused of abandoning our children, not raising them right, oh the list goes on… But what does this account teach us!

What has it taught me? Jehovah is our future! Do you see it? I do! I train my children to look beyond the smoke and mirrors of this shiny system and see the beauty that lies ahead, Only with Jehovah as our guide. No regrets.

As Jesus said to a well meaning but profoundly wrong brother “Satan get behind me!” As Hannah said to Jehovah in her heart! She knew she was pleasing Jehovah thru her tears! May we all be a faithful and courageous as her.

Hannah is one woman I look forward to talking with, one day soon. It might make her heart happy to know her recorded example has helped me endure today! I thank Jehovah for sharing her story with us.

Loyalty / Jehovah defines

It has been a long time since I have written in here! But I have learned something I feel is worthy of putting down in writing!

Loyalty to people – sticking to someone with love, patience, hope and determination to stay by the side of that one. This loyalty tells others we want them to fell safe with us knowing we truly have there best interests at heart. And this loyalty is displayed by action not mere words.

Jehovah has displayed a deep loyalty to all his loyal servants. For thousands of years, there are hundreds of personal and eyewitness accounts written in the bible that clearly show us his extensive his loyalty is towards his people.

Loyalty created in the union of friends, mates, family is a deep feeling of safety and security. When loyalty is broken safety is gone.

Loyalty is given when loyalty is returned or offered. Many of us grow up with distorted views of loyalty. Being loyal to someone who is not loyal produces pain and fear. Far from Jehovah’s view of loyalty. Jehovah’s described as having loyal love. So godly love and loyalty are closely related.

Loyalty to Jehovah requires much effort we must continue to learn about him, to adjust to his views of right and wrong, to love what he loves and hate what he hates. This loyalty requires exclusive devotion to Jehovah.

May we be loyal to our father Jehovah, his organization and all those choosing to be loyal to him.
